Job Summary

We are looking for an Application Specialist who will work in a tech organization to provide expert support and ensure the smooth operation of large-scale applications.

This role requires someone with experience in an enterprise-level environment, where you’ve worked with complex applications and large datasets rather than developing small-scale tools. You will play a key role in supporting applications that have a broader organizational impact, understanding that the solutions you manage are not just for a small business unit, but serve the larger enterprise ecosystem. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the complexities that come with enterprise applications and their wider implications on business processes. You should be adept at solving problems efficiently and proactively, ensuring system performance and minimizing downtime.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve user issues with software applications, ensuring smooth and efficient operation by providing timely and effective support.
• Diagnose and address technical issues reported by users, including application bugs, data errors, and performance-related problems.
• Analyze error logs and system behavior to identify recurring issues, implementing preventative measures to enhance application stability.
• Perform updates, patches, and configuration changes to ensure the application aligns with the latest company codebase and industry standards.
• Manage, prioritize, and resolve support requests in a timely manner to minimize user disruption.
• Provide technical assistance to users encountering issues with the application, offering clear solutions and guidance.
• Communicate technical problems and solutions to individuals with varying levels of technical expertise.
• Collaborate with the development team to identify and report bugs, recommend improvements, and contribute to overall application enhancements.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides and knowledge base articles.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience developing end-to-end business applications using technologies such as PHP, Java, JavaScript, React, Python, or similar.
• 2+ years of experience working with Web Services APIs.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, database concepts, and system integration.
• Experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly motivated, able to work independently, and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Ability to quickly learn and master new technologies and tools.
