Cloud Engineer

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and optimize cloud solutions within our internal cloud infrastructure. This role requires technical leadership and close collaboration with product owners, architects, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth cloud adoption while maintaining high performance, security, and compliance with architectural standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Solution Design & Implementation:

• Work closely with product owners, IT architects, and infrastructure teams to evaluate, design, and implement cloud solutions.
• Execute proof of concepts (PoCs) for cloud services, technologies, and architectures.
• Ensure cloud implementations align with architecture roadmaps, blueprints, and production stability.

Cloud Adoption & Optimization:

• Act as a liaison between Technical Architects, ToolChain, and Infrastructure teams to facilitate smooth cloud adoption.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, optimization, and innovation within cloud environments.
• Maintain and promote architecture frameworks and best practices.

Technical Analysis & Documentation:

• Conduct impact analysis and feasibility studies for new IT solutions and architectural enhancements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture guidelines, procedures, and operational instructions.
• Analyze existing cloud environments, detect deficiencies, and recommend solutions for improvement.

Ideal candidate:

Experience & Skills:

• 7+ years of overall IT experience, with hands-on cloud engineering expertise.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and user-centric mindset.

Technical skills:

• Cloud architecture & deployment on IBM Cloud, Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience in building and deploying low-latency, service-oriented architectures using Spring Boot, Python, Redis, and Kafka.
• Expertise in Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm).
• Understanding and implementation of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD).
• Strong networking knowledge: load balancing, high availability (Keepalived, ALB, DNS Load Balancer, Elastic IPs).
• Ability to create technical documentation, proposals, and guidelines.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Terraform/Ansible for infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Knowledge of API Management (APIGEE, etc.).
• Experience in Private Banking or Asset Management.
• Cloud-related certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM).
• Kubernetes Certification.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
