AI Engineer, AI R&D, Q Team

The Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) which aims to pioneer innovation solutions and develop world class science and technology capabilities to transform and empower the Home Team in delivering safety and security for Singapore.

The HTxAI Products team is committed to empower our Home Team Department (HTD)'s flagship projects through the seamless integration of AI technologies. From identifying opportunities to delivery, launch, and continuous enhancement, HTxAI aims to push boundaries and setting new standards in homeland security.

We are looking for enthusiastic Machine Learning Engineers to join our team in building a Large Language Model. You'll work with proprietary datasets and help deploy models into production. If you're passionate about machine learning and eager to work on cutting-edge technology, we'd love to hear from you. Experience with full-stack development is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Model Development: Assist in designing and implementing machine learning models for natural language processing tasks.
• Data Preparation: Work with our proprietary datasets, including data cleaning and wrangling.
• Deployment: Participate in deploying models on servers and ensure they run smoothly in production environments.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with team members across different functions to integrate models into applications.
• Learning & Innovation: Stay updated with the latest advancements in NLP and machine learning.
• Performance Monitoring: Help monitor and improve model performance and efficiency.
• Documentation: Document your work to support team knowledge sharing and future project development.

Experience:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python; familiarity with other programming languages is a bonus.
• Machine Learning Basics: Understanding of machine learning concepts and frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Interest in NLP: A keen interest in natural language processing techniques and applications.
• Data Handling: Willingness to learn about handling and processing large datasets.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Good analytical skills and a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
• Team Player: Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Full-Stack Development: Experience or interest in frontend and backend development.
• GPU Computing: Familiarity with NVIDIA servers or GPU computing.
• Cloud Experience: Basic knowledge of cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is a plus but not necessary.
• Deployment Experience: Understanding of deploying machine learning models into production environments.
