Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As a software engineer at Snappt, you are going to be able to impact a product from the front end systems, to the API integrations, and down to the database level. While weeks may vary, the below is a good view into a typical week:

70%: Designing, coding, and testing new features for the product. This will include full stack development- front end web development, building API's, and integration into PostgreSQL.

15%: Reviewing pull requests and assisting other engineers.

15%: Participating in squad ceremonies (planning, retrospectives, standups) and company meetings (all-hands, etc.).

You will primarily interact with your squad, which includes a Product Manager, Engineering Manager, floating designer, and other engineers. Occasionally, you will collaborate with the customer success team, DevOps team, and members of other squads.

Desired Skills

Snappt is looking for highly skilled and reliable full-stack software engineers with expertise building SaaS platforms with a focus in the following areas:

Web Client Development: TypeScript, JavaScript, React.js- you will be designing, developing, and shipping these components.

Server/API Development: Node.js, TypeScript

SQL Data Access: PostgreSQL, TypeORM

Design Patterns: Backend for Frontend Architectures, Micro-Frontend Architectures, RESTful APIs

Microservice Architectures

Event-Based Messaging: Pub/Sub and Message Queuing

Cloud Experience: AWS Cloud Environment
