About the role: We are working with a client In Cork that is seeking enthusiastic and skilled Data Scientists to join their growing Data and Analytics team. Utilising big data technology and sophisticated analytics, you will improve business outcomes by optimising marketing expenditure, creating new data-driven revenue streams, personalising consumer needs across all channels, and putting more effective processes into place.

Key responsibilities

• Offer data-driven insights to business partners to increase revenue, expedite procedures, and enhance overall performance.
• To extract business value from transactional data on stores, products, operations, finances, and customers, apply state-of-the-art data mining and statistical approaches.
• Support the business goals, data monetisation, and customisation by applying cutting-edge methods to gain a thorough understanding of customer behaviours and demands.
• Be an advocate for leveraging analytics to solve challenges and provide business value, and give the rest of the company a strong, data-driven voice.

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar analytics role.
• Enthusiastic about leveraging AI, analytics, and data to improve company performance.
• The ability to use SQL to explore large data volumes; familiarity with cloud-based environments is advantageous
• Skilled at utilising R or Python.
• Experience using statistical techniques and computer algorithms on both structured and unstructured data.
• Knowledge of utilising Databricks for problem-solving and exploration is advantageous.
• Expertise in fusing sophisticated data visualisations with analytical techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, presenting, and negotiating abilities.
• Previous coaching or mentorship experience with data scientists or analysts.
