You would be joining our data platform team, which is responsible for delivering data pipelines, data warehouse, tools & best practices around data and AI area for organization. We value data and are committed to enhancing our customers' experiences in their everyday lives.
The Role
We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer to join our Data Platforms team on our cloudification journey. Your main focus will be designing and implementing data pipelines between data-intensive systems and participate developing solutions for data handling and machine learning. This role requires strong data integration skills and solid coding experience.

We have a hybrid work model in place, where the expectation is that Elisians will work on average three days a week at the office.

What You'll Do
- Design and implement data pipelines.
- Engineer solutions for data handling and machine learning.
- Continuously improve and optimize data operations.
- A collaborative environment where you'll never be alone.

- Flexibility to work from any Elisa office in Finland, with occasional travel to our HQ in Pasila, Helsinki.
- Solid experience with modern software development patterns, including distributed computing and data processing pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python; knowledge of other programming languages is a plus.
- Practical development experience in some major cloud platforms( AWS, GCP, Azure). Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience is a big advantage.
- Ability to build infrastructure and components using best practices (e.g., IaC with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines).
- Knowledge of data processing frameworks like GCP Dataflow (Apache Beam), Apache Spark, or Apache Flink.
- Willingness to work with technologies such as GCP Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow), Apache Kafka, and Kubernetes.
- Enjoy writing maintainable and well-tested code.
- Good communication skills and fluency in English.
