Role: Staff Systems Engineer
Location: Dublin – 2 days per week in the office
Package: €80,000 - €115,000 per annum + RSU/Stock Options

The Role
As a Staff Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining critical infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations across hybrid cloud environments. Working in a high-impact team, you will drive automation, reliability, and scalability while managing mission-critical services that support global operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop internal tools and utilities using Python or Golang, enhancing system performance and automation.
- Design and maintain a robust configuration management pipeline using Puppet and Ansible.
- Manage and maintain Tier-0 services such as DNS, DHCP, and LDAP, ensuring high availability.
- Oversee a large-scale hybrid cloud infrastructure, working with bare metal and VMs.
- Implement an “everything as code” approach, writing, reviewing, and deploying configurations.
- Develop and automate test plans for declarative infrastructure across multiple cloud environments.
- Build orchestration workflows that leverage advanced platform capabilities.
- Lead migration projects, including transitioning VMs from VMware to OpenStack or other cloud platforms.
What We’re Looking For:
- Extensive experience operating large-scale Linux environments, with expertise in configuration management tools such as Puppet or Ansible.
- Strong background in OpenStack – deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience migrating VMs from VMware to OpenStack or similar cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in Python or Golang for scripting and automation.
- Deep understanding of Linux systems services, including networking, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and storage.
- Ability to document and communicate complex systems architectures effectively.
- Experience in test automation and debugging infrastructure code.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with an investigative approach to DevOps technologies.
