Senior Backend Developer .Net/C#

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Senior Backend Developer in our Digital Platforms and Solutions organization, you will be responsible for building backend core services that will be reused by customer-facing digital products and internal applications at Siemens Energy.

You will collaborate with software architects and other developers in an international team, supported by an experienced cloud operations team.

Utilizing modern software development frameworks and AI-boosted productivity tools, your goal is to create software core services that streamline the development and deployment of software solutions across the digital Energy value chain.

Build backend core services and solutions to enhance our digital software business backbone. Collaborate with international teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.

What You Bring

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field with a minimum of 6 - 8 years of experience in Software Development and Architecture.
• Consultant / communication / explanation skills, preferrable for platform offered solutions
• Ability to understand, document and present technical problems and possible solutions to partner teams and stakeholders
• Experience in agile development.
  
  
  

Technical Skills

• Expertise in the latest version of .Net/C# frameworks.
• Experience with relational/data warehouse databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake) and NoSQL database (Elasticsearch, Cassandra).
• Proficiency with version control (Gitlab) and tools like Confluence and Jira.
• Knowledge of microservices-based architectures, serverless and Object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-agnostic development (Docker, Kubernetes).
• API design and development for RESTful and GraphQL services.
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts - CI/CD, Containerization, Test-Driven Development.
• Proficiency with Linux-based systems, command-line tools, and scripting.
• Experience with additional languages like Java, Python is a plus.
• Knowledge of orchestration services, network discovery, and management services is a plus.
• Experience with HTML/CSS, Bootstrap, React is a plus.
