DevOps Engineer (remote)

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with strong experience in AWS or GCP cloud platforms, Terraform, and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and deploying Kubernetes clusters in AWS, with a focus on high performance, scalability, and security. You will play a critical role in our DevOps team, driving innovation, leading initiatives, and mentoring junior engineers while maintaining best practices in CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Kubernetes Orchestration: Design, build, and deploy Kubernetes clusters on AWS using Terraform, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage AWS/GCP environments, optimizing the use of services like AWS Lambda, EKS, EC2, and S3 for cost efficiency and scalability.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD for GitOps workflows, ensuring efficient builds and deployments.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain modular, secure, and scalable infrastructure using Terraform, handling state management and version control across multiple teams.
• Networking and Security: Design and implement secure network infrastructures, including VPN setups and firewall rules, in hybrid cloud environments.
• Monitoring & Incident Management: Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure minimal downtime, and lead incident management from detection to resolution.

Key Qualifications:

• at least 6 years of experience in DevOps, with a focus on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Prior experience in banking or financial institutions is preferred
• Proven experience building Kubernetes clusters on AWS, with an emphasis on security, monitoring, and high availability.
• Strong knowledge of AWS or GCP services and migration between cloud platforms.
• Expertise in CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions and ArgoCD for automated deployments.
• Experience with network security and firewall configurations in multi-cloud environments.
• Leadership experience, with a focus on mentoring, team collaboration, and stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with FortiGate or equivalent firewalls.
• Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog for monitoring and metrics.
