Role Description

This is a contract role for a Network Architect located in Dubai. The Network Architect will be responsible for network administration, architecture, design, security, and engineering on a day-to-day basis.

Design Expertise:

·      Expertise in Datacenter network design and implementation on SDN technologies e.g. Cisco ACI and NSX solutions

·      Experience in designing integrated SDN solution to integrate with orchestration tools

·      Expertise in planning and designing DC transformation and migration methods

·      Design, Solution, Build and Deployment Experience on below Advanced technologies 

§ Hierarchical/Extended Datacenter networks

§ DR solutions (Logical DC networks)

§ Cisco ACI

§ Vmware NSX

§ Load balancing (F5, Citrix NetScaler, Cisco ACE)

§ Wan optimization (Riverbed and Cisco)

§ DNS/DHCP/IPAM (InfoBlock)

§ Proxy solutions

·      Expertise in preparing high quality HLD and LLD design documents

·      Identifying cross functional dependencies

·      Experience in sequencing the activities, scheduling the tasks and preparing project plan.

·      Experience in planning and conducting vigorous datacenter network tests and generating a detailed test reports

Technical Expertise:

·      Strong knowledge and expertise in developing a datacenter solution using ACI

·      Strong knowledge and expertise in developing a datacenter solution using NSX

·      Good knowledge on public cloud datacenter solution using AWS, Azure, GCP etc.

·      Strong knowledge and expertise in developing a datacenter solution using Microsoft AZURE

·      Experience in integrating 3rd party virtual appliances in SDN

·      Expertise in Virtualization such as VMWare, Microsoft Hyper V etc.

·      Good knowledge in experience scripting languages such as Shell, Python, Java, JSON is preferred.

·      Good knowledge in routing and switching

·      Experience in implementing advance NEXUS OS features

·      Expertise in Implementing and troubleshooting Load balancers

·      Expertise in Implementing and troubleshooting WAN Optimizers

·      Good knowledge in Security environment, such as Firewalls, Proxy servers, SSL offloading, VPNs etc

·      Detailed knowledge in implementing essential services for DC, such as DNS/DHCP/NTP and IPAM

·      Good knowledge in SDN (ACI/NSX)

·      Good knowledge in WAN, MPLS and Internet technologies

·      Good knowledge in cloud (Public, private and hybrid)

·      Performing routine tests on an assigned system and reporting results.

Consulting Expertise:

·      Consulting and understanding holistic Datacenter requirements with presales

·      Conducting project kick off meetings and engaging in detailed technical discussions

·      Network strategy and consultancy services.

§ Assessment and providing Recommendation reports

§ Provide network design services which meet and exceed the needs of customer

§ Propose and Validate BoM for Network Infrastructure solutions.

§ Preparing Scope of Work and Project Plans for the Solution.

·      Closely work with Project Managers and customer technical authority and ensure smooth delivery of project deliverables

·      Working with 3rd party hardware and Telco suppliers to ensure delivery expectations are met and issues escalated accordingly

·      Escalating overall none delivery issues in timely and structured manner as required

·      Providing Technical support to multiple services and other team member

·      Working as part of a project in a demanding environment where team work is key to delivering and meeting client commitments

·      Complete varied complex/non-standard tasks and may coordinate/oversee work of others

·      Understand customer requirements, translating them into refined and detailed specification documents

·      Provide resolution to project or customer issues, following proper escalation procedures, in a timely fashion

·      Create project documentation and procedures

·      To lead the project implementation phase and be responsible for delivery of projects on time and on budget.

Troubleshooting Expertise:

·      Strategic problem solving skills

·      Systematic troubleshooting skills

·      Deep dive in to detailed analysis with high degree of technical knowledge to solve complex technical problems

·      Over all trouble shooting skills including, Compute/Virtualization, Network, Security and DDNI

·      Troubleshooting and repairing network issues, as well as developing, applying and enforcing best practices and policies

·      Effectively communicating details complex problems to various teams and members

Communication:

·      Excellent written and verbal communication

·      Knowing Japanese and Chinese language added advantage

·      Experience in preparing Solution documents and presentations

·      Conducting brainstorming sessions to resolve complex issues with the team

·      Presenting solutions to the customers effectively
