Job Summary:

They are seeking a talented Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join their team. As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining their web-based FinTech platform. You will work closely with their internal team and the CTO to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of their clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain features in the Laravel and Vue project
• Collaborate with the team to design and implement new features and enhancements
• Write maintainable and testable code and unit tests
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and resolve issues
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical discussions

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of professional experience in software development
• Proficiency in JavaScript (Vue or React) and PHP (Laravel)
• Experience with common team development tooling (e.g., GitHub, Jira)
• Practical knowledge of database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Understanding of design patterns and best practices in software development
• Australian citizen or permanent resident, or valid work visa that allows you to work in Australia

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with RESTful API design and development
• Familiarity with package managers like npm and Composer
• Experience with real-time communication tools like Pusher WebSocket or similar
• Experience with Inertia.js and TailwindCSS
• Knowledge of containerization tools (e.g., Docker)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with error tracking tools like Sentry
• Knowledge of feature flag management (e.g., Laravel Pennant)
• Familiarity with Laravel Nova for admin panel development
