Robert Half Talent Solutions is currently looking for a Business Project Manager (m/f/x) for a permanent position based in Zaventem.

Our client is a fast growing company active in the retail sector.

As Business Project Manager (m/f/x) you will be responsible for:

Project Management & Business Analysis

  • Leads multiple projects simultaneously, managing them from initial concept to final delivery.
  • Defines project scope, budget, timeline, team structure, and key deliverables.
  • Oversees the project team throughout its lifecycle, from ideation to execution, including approval processes, demand management, and business analysis (in collaboration with IT when necessary).
  • Ensures proper change management when project adjustments are required.
  • Supervises all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring expected results and business benefits are achieved.
  • Manages testing phases and implementation plans, ensuring alignment with business case objectives.

Project Strategy & Execution

  • Ensures projects adhere to the defined strategy and scope.
  • Applies appropriate project management methodologies (Lean, Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc.).

Risk Management

  • Identifies and mitigates project risks.
  • Reports potential issues and risks promptly and ensures resolution within given deadlines.

Impact Analysis

  • Analyzes business needs to assess potential impacts and ensure the proposed solution aligns with operational realities.

Budget Management

  • Ensures project expenses remain within the allocated budget.

Planning & Coordination

  • Works closely with Financial Business Analysts.
  • Develops a structured project plan using relevant project management tools.
  • Allocates tasks, defines timelines, and monitors progress to ensure timely completion.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Acts as the main point of contact between internal/external stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Prepares reports and presentations, facilitates meetings (weekly status updates, Steering Committees, etc.), and provides regular updates on project progress.
  • Drives stakeholder engagement and change management initiatives.
  • Fosters team collaboration and motivation.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Works closely with various teams depending on project requirements, including:
  • Finance teams (excluding AdCo)
  • Other corporate departments
  • Financial Business Analysts
  • Key Users
  • Business Process Owners (BPOs)
  • Executive Committee members
  • External service providers



  • Collaborates with IT teams for system development or implementation, ensuring business needs are translated into IT requirements. Leads User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases with Key Users, ensuring tools/processes function effectively for business teams.
  • Supports process optimization and internal communication efforts.
  • Acts as an ambassador for the company and encourages team engagement.
  • Works alongside the Transformation Director to contribute to the long-term digital finance strategy.

Operational Excellence

  • Continuously improves financial tools, processes, and systems to optimize operations, with or without IT involvement.
  • Encourages the team to challenge existing processes and take calculated risks.
  • Proposes innovative ways to enhance financial workflows and improve overall efficiency.
  • Promotes seamless communication within teams and ensures alignment with broader organizational goals.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Clear project scope definition.
  • On-time project delivery.
  • Adherence to governance standards.
  • Delivery of projects at the expected quality level.
  • Budget compliance.


The required profile for the Business Project Manager (m/f/x) position:

  • Master’s degree with a Prince2 certification (or equivalent);
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office tools;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management (familiarity with Agile and Scrum is a plus);
  • Proficient in English, with fluency in either French or Dutch;
  • Knowledge of SAP is an advantage;
  • Interest in technical aspects of financial systems;
  • Experience in Lean & Compliance is a plus;
