📍 Brussels, Belgium - Hybrid (2 days in-office, 3 days remote)

For a leading company in the DIY and home improvement retail sector in the Benelux, we are looking for an experienced Senior or Mid-level Data Scientist. With millions of customers across Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, this organization helps people build, improve, and personalize their homes.

As they move through a major data-driven transformation, they are seeking a data expert who can turn complex data into real business value through insights and AI-powered solutions.

• Turn data into business impact: Work closely with Marketing, Operations, Finance, and other departments to solve challenges using data and AI

• Build end-to-end solutions: Develop and deploy machine learning models and optimize processes from A to Z

• Work with big data: Analyze large and complex datasets from retail stores, e-commerce platforms, and supply chain systems

• Collaborate with stakeholders: Work alongside data engineers, product owners, and external partners to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions

• Translate data into insights: Communicate complex findings in a clear, actionable way to non-technical stakeholders

• Stay ahead of the curve: Keep up with the latest developments in AI, machine learning, and cloud technology

• Operate in an agile environment: Use Agile/Kanban methods to prioritize and deliver value efficiently
  
  

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery), Databricks, Python, and PySpark

• Skilled in Power BI for dashboarding and reporting

• Experience building and deploying machine learning models

• Familiarity with retail, e-commerce, or supply chain datasets

• Experience with end-to-end data pipelines and putting ML models into production

• Experience with SAP systems (CAR, BW, ECOMMERCE) is a strong plus
  
  

• Able to translate data insights into strategic business advice

• Strong communicator with the ability to tell clear stories with data

• Comfortable managing internal and external stakeholders

• Thrives in a fast-paced Agile environment

• Knowledge or interest in DIY/retail sector is a plus
  
  

• English is required

• French or Dutch is a plus
