Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) – Germany

You will be working for one of the leading consultancies in Germany and they are seeking an experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to shape and lead its security strategy.

This is a key leadership role, responsible for safeguarding critical assets, ensuring compliance, and driving innovation in cybersecurity.

Location: Germany (must be based in Germany)

Salary: Up to €150,000

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy aligned with business objectives
• Lead risk management, compliance, and regulatory frameworks (ISO 27001, NIS2, GDPR)
• Oversee cybersecurity operations, incident response, and security architecture
• You will mentor and inspire a high-performing team, fostering professional growth and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Budget responsibility and cost control for IT operation & digitalization initiatives.
• Engage with executive leadership, clients, and stakeholders to enhance security posture
• Drive innovation in cloud security, threat intelligence, and network security

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CISO or senior cybersecurity leader
• Solid experience & knowledge in Cyber Security, including organizational, regulatory and technical security measures. A CISSP, CISM or ISO 27001 auditor certification is a plus
• Technical Expertise across all IT areas, including advanced technical expertise in enterprise cloud infrastructure (Microsoft technologies like Azure & M365), SAP ECC & S/4Hana, as well as process, data and middleware cloud applications
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
• Fluent in English, German language skills are a plus
