Building Energy Performance Project Manager
Responsibilities
Develop & maintain strong business relationships & work collaboratively with a range of int/external stakeholders and representative associations within the industry & other service providers involved.
Coordinate & work on the development of building energy performance calculation methodologies.
Work closely with the Software Team on integration of the calculation methodologies into software platforms (e.g. DEAP, NEAP).
Play a key role in the definition & implementation of enhancement & changes to the BER programme IT & business systems.
Work on the evolving EPBD programme IT requirements, such as Building Digital Logbooks & Buildings’ databases.
Work closely with the EPBD Data Exchange Lead to develop data sharing & access policies.
Work closely with stakeholders inc. BER assessors, SEAI depts & software development service providers.
Assist with the resolution of IT & business systems related issues.
Knowledge & Skills
Proven project mgt. skills & proactive in achieving results, inc. managing scope, time, risk assessment, cost & quality.
Knowledge of relevant Directives & st&ards, e.g., Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, Irish Building Regulations.
Excellent mgt. & organisational skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving & interpretive skills; can think strategically & use sound judgement on complex issues.
Excellent written & oral communication skills & can represent SEAI in a public forum.
A capacity to build positive working relationship with colleagues & external stakeholders; to work in multi-disciplinary teams & to network effectively.
Well-developed IT skills.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
A degree ( NFQ Level 7) in a relevant technical or operational
discipline such as Architecture, Mechanical or Civil engineering, Building Services,
Environmental Science, Sustainability, Economics, or building energy
modelling & methodologies.
A minimum of 4 years’ directly relevant exp working in building performance assessment or modelling or in sustainability / energy consultancy, or in project mgt. in a related field (post graduate studies may be included).
Exp of building energy performance methodologies, inc. a working knowledge of DEAP & NEAP.
Exp in software development & quality control, stakeholder mgt. & UAT
Exp working in a multi-disciplinary team & managing projects involving a diverse stakeholder.
DESIRABLE
BER Assessor certified.
A good understanding of building energy systems.
PMP certified.
