YOUR ROLE

Sogeti are looking for a Data Scientist to join our team and help uncover valuable insights by linking and analysing diverse data sets. In this role, you will clean and prepare data, perform descriptive and exploratory analysis, and develop predictive and AI models. You will also work on implementing practical applications of Generative AI and large language models (LLMs) while building dashboards to communicate findings effectively. A key part of this role involves translating complex data-driven insights into clear, actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.



Key responsibilities of the role

  • Linking and mashing up distinctive data sets to discover new insights, work with potentially incomplete data sources
  • Data Cleansing
  • Descriptive and exploratory data analysis
  • Building and validating predictive and AI models
  • Implementing practical applications GenAI and LLMs
  • Understanding business requirements and building dashboards to generate insights
  • Communicating analysis results to the business in a non-technical manner
  • Act as a consultant on client engagements.
  • Lead complex projects/programmes.
  • Lead high performing teams and coordinate contributions of other specialists to complete projects.


YOUR PROFILE

  • Hold an honours degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years professional experience as a Data Scientist
  • Data processing, SQL programming and data analytics
  • Proficient in statistical data programming (e.g. R & Python) and familiarity with the associated packages / libraries (e.g. Caret, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit Learn etc)
  • Background in data mining and statistical analysis;
  • Working with Azure DevOps, Github
  • Developing PowerBI dashboards
  • Working with GenAI tools, LLMs
  • Understand data structures and commonly used methodologies for data transformation;
  • Explain complex statistical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Statistical, mathematical, predictive modelling
  • Use business strategy skills to align algorithms and determine useful insights and results
  • Product development experience
  • Understand implications of GDPR and the AI Act for data science applications
