About the project:

A development team is seeking a highly motivated developer for a wide portfolio of business projects supporting various applications.

List of duties:

• Developing applications in various software languages and application maintenance
• Contributing to the design and architecture of our platform, and help scale the platform to build new features
• A desire to collaborate with and innovate with our teams (both technical and non- technical members)
• Working with Product Owners to analyze requests and create requirements
• Working closely with other software developers, system architects, designers, and stakeholders
• Presenting ideas for improvements
• Attending meetings after 5pm CET (4x/week)
• Availability for overseas business trips (2 weeks, maximum 1-2 times per year)

Preferred qualifications:

• Understanding of JavaScript, and JavaScript frameworks, including AngularJS, Angular, React, jQuery
• Familiar with backend frameworks such as Symfony or Laravel
• Knowledge of the LAMP stack, especially proficient knowledge of PHP 7: backend work and implementation
• Familiarity with the WordPress platform and other open-source frameworks/CMS, and
• have experience developing custom themes and plugins
• Experience in designing / architecting applications
• Experience with ES6 / Webpack, Gulp, NPM/Node
• A good understanding of Object Oriented design patterns, especially patterns that avoid redundancy and promote efficiency, legibility, testability, and maintainability of code

Familiarity with the following technologies:

• Apache Solr
• Experience working in a scrum team and/or in a very team-oriented environment, willing to help drive the project instead of waiting to receive requests
• Ability to deal with multiple projects at a time
• Very self-motivated to work independently, and proactively take ownership of timelines and deliverables
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Experience working in a global environment
