Your Key Responsibilities

• Develops data pipelines and applies methods and tools to collect, store, process and analyze complex data sets, globally for assigned operations or functions.
• Design, govern, build and operate solutions for large-scale data architectures and applications across businesses and functions.
• Select, manage and work hands-on with Big Data tools and frameworks, and implement ETL tools and processes as well as data virtualization and federation services.
• Engineer data integration pipelines and reusable data services using cross-functional data models, semantic technologies and data integration solutions.
• Define, implement and apply data governance policies for all data flows of data architectures with focus on the Digital Platform and Data Lake.
• Define and implement policies for data ingestion, retention, lineage, access, data service API management and usage, in collaboration with Corp. Data Management and IT functions.
  
  

Your Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in data engineering or related roles
• Very strong language skills in English (German is a plus)
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient understanding of distributed and Cloud computing principles and technologies
• Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources and IT systems (e.g., ERP/SAP, DWH/SAP-BW, Web Services, CRM/Salesforce, MES, etc.)
• Experience with in working with Cloud environments and services, preferably with Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Event Hub, IoT Hub, Databricks, etc.)
• Strong programming skills in Java and/or Python; Software development experience is a plus
• Experience in data modeling (ER, UML) and proficiency in SQL
• Experience with non-relational databases such as MongoDB for example, their query languages and fields of application
• Knowledge of ETL techniques and frameworks, such as ADF, PowerCenter, NiFi, Sqoop
• Analytical Skills: Data Analysis and Visualization (eg. Power BI, Tableau)
• Soft Skills: good communication skills, effective team player, strong organizational skills.
• Other Qualifications: attention to detail, problem solving attitude.
