Senior/Lead Data Scientist (AI)

We seek a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team. As a Senior/Lead Data Scientist, you will work closely with business data experts to analyze complex datasets, develop innovative data-driven solutions, and provide valuable insights to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have experience using Databricks for data science work and possess a solid background in both Generative AI and traditional AI techniques.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions
• Knowledge of both Generative AI and traditional AI techniques, including deep learning, natural language processing, and statistical modeling
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R and experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn)
• Expertise in using Databricks for data science workflows, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation
• Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment is highly desirable
  
  

And at least one of the points in the experience:

• Hands-on production experience with MLOps in Databricks, particularly in Model Registration and Evaluation workflows
• Competency in Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol, Azure AI Agent Service, or Dapr
• Expertise in building AI Agents and integrating them into advanced reasoning models to solve complex business challenges
• AI “Platform” skills, including implementing constraints, monitoring, automated testing, and optimizing AI systems for reliability and scalability

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience applying Generative AI and traditional AI techniques to optimize processes and solve complex business problems
• Solid understanding of data visualization techniques and tools (e.g., Qlik, Tableau, Power BI) to effectively communicate complex findings to stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data experts and stakeholders to understand business objectives and identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive decision-making and business growth
• Design and implement advanced data models, algorithms, and statistical analyses to extract meaningful insights from large and complex datasets
• Develop and deploy machine learning models using Databricks for predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and other data science applications
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and correlations in the data and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data science, AI, and machine learning techniques, and proactively identify opportunities to apply them to business challenges
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior data scientists, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
