Redesign the future of Dental Software and help thousands of dental professionals work smarter, every day!
Are you a UX designer who thrives on solving real user problems and turning complex workflows into elegant, intuitive experiences? Do you enjoy designing for software that truly matters—where every click impacts real patient care?
At Opus Dental, we’re building the next generation of dental software for clinics across the Nordics. With over 25,000 users at 4,500+ dental practices, our products are a critical part of their daily operations. Now, we’re modernizing. We're moving from a legacy desktop system to a cloud-based web platform—and we’re looking for a UX Designer to help lead this transformation.
This is a unique opportunity to work on a complex, real-world product, improve usability for healthcare professionals, and shape the future of digital dentistry.
What You’ll Do
As our UX Designer, you’ll work cross-functionally with product managers, developers, and end users to understand workflows, design smarter interfaces, and guide product decisions with evidence-based design thinking.
Your key responsibilities:
- Design user flows into clean, user-friendly digital experiences for web-based applications.
- Conduct user research, including interviews, usability testing, and clinic visits (yes, real dentists!).
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and user journey maps that reflect the needs of dental professionals.
- Partner with product and engineering to ensure smooth implementation of design ideas.
- Help establish a design system and UI guidelines as we shift to React and component-based front-end development.
- Bring UX thinking into every product discussion—advocating for the user at all times.
Who You Are
You’re a user-focused designer who understands that great UX comes from deep empathy, smart problem-solving, and a love for making complex systems usable.
We think you’ll thrive in this role if you have:
✅ 3+ years of experience as a UX or Product Designer, preferably with complex B2B, SaaS, or enterprise tools.
✅ A strong portfolio showing user research, wireframes, and prototypes—especially for workflow-heavy apps.
✅ Experience designing for web applications (bonus if you've worked with design systems and component libraries).
✅ A structured design process, from research and insights to validation and iteration.
✅ Familiarity with design tools like Figma or Adobe XD, and prototyping tools like Framer or InVision.
✅ Comfort working closely with developers and product managers in an Agile environment.
✅ Excellent communication skills in Norwegian, Swedish and English.
Bonus points if you:
⭐ Have experience in healthcare, dental, or medical software
⭐ Understand accessibility (WCAG) and usability standards in professional tools
⭐ Are excited about contributing to a new design system from the ground up
