React developer

Akkodis is seeking a React Developer for a contract position with a client in Toronto, ON (Hybrid). Ideally looking for experience with React , JavaScript (ES6+), SQL, Postgre SQL, Docker , Kubernetes, Redux, testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Chai, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines, TypeScript with someone with the required skills and experience, particularly in large organizations.

Looking for a React developer with 3-6 years of experience. We are not considering senior candidates, but we will consider around 5+ years of experience .

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and passionate React Developer to join our dynamic development team to assist in the design, development, and maintenance of web applications using React.js. The ideal candidate will focus on building dynamic, responsive front-end applications and scalable back-end solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality, responsive, and scalable web applications using React for the front-end and preferably Node.js for the back-end.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver robust solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in web development.
• Create and maintain technical documentation related to features and processes.
• Ensure web applications are secure, accessible, and mobile-friendly.

Must-Have:

• 3-6 years of experience in developing web applications with React and Node.js.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+) and familiarity with front-end development using React.
• Experience with back-end development using Node.js, including building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and pre-processors like SASS.
• Familiarity with state management libraries like Redux or Context API.
• Knowledge of version control tools.
• Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Chai.
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and security best practices (OAuth, JWT, etc.).
• Experience with modern build tools and task runners (Webpack, Babel, npm, yarn).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
