Head Project Logistics Qatar - Kuwait - Iraq Cluster

The core purpose of this role is to lead a profitable business by driving business development in the cluster and ensuring high levels of operational excellence, productivity and customer satisfaction.

Your Role

The Head of Project Logistics Qatar - Kuwait - Iraq cluster also provides the direction and leadership to the Project Logistics team to ensure the corporate Project Logistics strategies are delivered. The Head of Project Logistics Qatar - Kuwait - Iraq cluster is also responsible for the self and team development. At all times acting in a safety-first manner with integrity, honesty and the knowledge to promote the Project Logistics vision and the culture of Kuehne+Nagel.

Your Responsibilities

• To ensure strong process management is in place and implement, benchmark, improve and control operational performance against agreed guidelines/ Key Performance Indicators.
• To liaise/coordinate with internal departments and our global network to deliver total business solutions that support our overall business strategy. To support the initial implementation of new accounts.
• To ensure that all financial operational requirements are met at all times (including but not limited to file administration, accurate pricing, credit control, deferrals, accruals).
• To oversee all sub-contract management and ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements. To drive sales + marketing activities as required.
• To oversee all leadership tasks for direct reports including but not limited to- Recruitment- Performance Management- Induction/On-boarding- Training.
• To act as an escalation point for all customer allocated to the cluster/country ensuring a strong focus on customer growth and retention,
• To ensure that customer complaints are managed in a manner that provides explanations and puts customer at ease.
• To understand company strategies and develop EPC(engineering, procurement & construction) projects, energy and marine logistics, and oversized & overweight cargo clients in local market.
  
  

Your Skills And Experiences

• Masters/ Bachelors degree in Supply chain management/ logistics , supply chain or related fields.
• Proven experience in Project Logistics, National Management sea logistics, sales, Business development etc.
• Good team player as well as a highly motivated individual contributor.
• Experienced in Data Analytics, strategy and planning.
• Great communication skills and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English and Local Language.
