As a Senior Software Developer, You Will:

  • Develop application software in accordance with the department’s quality management system and technical and security architecture.
  • Apply structured problem-solving strategies and techniques to identify, analyse, evaluate and implement solutions.
  • Translate conceptual, logical and physical solutions into application software.


As a Senior Software Developer, You Will:

  • Develop application software in accordance with the department's quality management system and technical and security architecture.
  • Apply structured problem-solving strategies and techniques to identify, analyse, evaluate and implement solutions.
  • Translate conceptual, logical and physical solutions into application software.
  • Collaborate with business area to devise practical solutions that balance system performance, usability, cross-system dependencies, scalability, re usability, overall cost to develop and maintain while meeting the defined business needs.
  • Monitor performance to ensure delivery meets service standards in accordance with service level agreements.
  • Prepare cost analyses, design considerations and implementation timeframes for proposed application developments.
  • Participate in a team environment and contribute to a positive workplace culture where team members enjoy coming to work, and ethical practices, workplace safety, equity, and diversity are valued. For this role, we will consider a combination of capabilities from the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA), focussing on these key skills:
  • Systems development management (DLMG): Level 5
  • Programming/software development (PROG): Level 4
  • Application Support (ASUP): Level 4
  • Incident management (USUP): Level 4
  • Release and Deployment (RELM): Level 4
