Postdoctoral or PhD Position in Image Processing and Digital Pathology
We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher or PhD Student to join our team in investigating the tumor microenvironment, immune interactions, and digital pathology-based biomarkers. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing projects in cancer immunology, computational pathology, and biomarker discovery. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in high-dimensional spatial analysis, multiplex imaging, and AI-driven digital pathology while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct research on tumor-immune interactions and spatial biomarkers in cancer.
• Apply and develop computational and statistical methods for digital pathology data analysis.
• Work with multiplex immunofluorescence imaging and machine learning tools to identify prognostic biomarkers.
• Collaborate with clinicians, pathologists, and bioinformaticians to translate findings into clinical insights.
• Contribute to grant writing, manuscript preparation, and presentations at scientific conferences.
Qualifications:
For a Postdoctoral Researcher:
• Ph.D. in Cancer Biology, Immunology, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in image analysis, digital pathology, or machine learning.
• Strong programming skills (Python, R) and familiarity with image analysis software (QuPath, CellProfiler).
• Proven track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
For a PhD Student:
• Master’s degree in Biology, Medicine, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
• Interest in cancer research, immunology, and computational methods.
• Willingness to learn programming and image analysis techniques.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
Salary and Employment Conditions:
• PhD Student: 1920 EUR/month
• Postdoctoral Researcher: 2400–3000 EUR/month (depending on experience)
• Initial contract for 2-3 years, with the possibility of extension.
