Join Worldline Financial Services (Europe) SA (WFS EU SA), a prominent leader in the financial technology sector, dedicated to providing innovative payment and transaction processing solutions throughout Europe. Headquartered in Luxembourg, WFS EU operates as a hybrid payment services provider under the Payment Services Directive (PSD2). We proudly hold a license enabling us to offer payment services across the European Union, working under the supervision of the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF).

Compliance Officer Trainee

Worldline Financial Services (Europe) (WFS EU) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Trainee to join our 2nd Line of Defense Compliance team. In this role, you will contribute to the effective implementation and improvement of compliance initiatives while engaging in various essential tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Policy Drafting and Review: Contribute to the drafting and review of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and support improvement initiatives.
• Regulatory Reporting: Assist in preparing reports for submission to regulators, ensuring they are processed according to standards set by the Compliance office.
• Documentation Revisions: Perform revisions to documentation, specifically the Compliance Control Framework.
• Governance Support: Assist team members in reviewing the governance system and providing support for training creation, presentations, and more.
• Reporting Support: Support the Compliance team in reporting to the CSSF and other regulatory bodies within the Worldline Group.
• AML and CTF Activities: Engage in daily activities related to the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing, including customer due diligence and using tools such as World Check/Ricos.
• Incident Investigation: Investigate transactional patterns escalated by the 1st Line of Defense and report any irregularities indicative of money laundering or terrorist financing to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and relevant authorities.
• Policy Maintenance: Assist the Compliance team in keeping KYC, AML/CTF, and Sanctions policies and procedures up-to-date.
• Report Support: Support the preparation of AML/CTF reports and surveys, both internal and external.
• Active Collaboration: Collaborate actively with the Compliance team on various subjects and initiatives.
  
  

As a Compliance Trainee, you will thrive in an international environment and will work closely with various teams across the organization, including Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Sales. You will report to the Chief Compliance Officer based within WFS EU, who operates under the Global Head of Compliance – 2nd Line of Defense, responsible for multiple geographies and legal entities.
