Java Developer – Stockholm (Hybrid)

Our client, a leading digital transformation consultancy, is expanding its agile development teams in Stockholm and is looking for skilled Java Developers to join them. With a strong focus on innovation and social impact, they work on long-term projects that modernize technology for key sectors such as public services, healthcare, and energy.

About the Role

As a Java Developer, you will be part of a collaborative team, working closely with colleagues and clients to develop cutting-edge digital solutions. Our client’s projects typically involve modernizing and upgrading technologies while ensuring high-quality, scalable systems.

The role offers exposure to a wide range of technologies, including Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue. Knowledge-sharing and professional development are key aspects of their culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications in agile project teams
• Work with Spring Boot, unit testing (JUnit, Mockito), Git, Maven/Gradle
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to deliver high-quality solutions
• Implement and maintain system integrations (SOAP, REST, JMS, Kafka)
• (Optional) Work with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD)
• (Optional) Utilize container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift

Who Our Client is Looking For

✅ Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Java development (ideally 5-8 years)
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, unit testing, version control (Git), build tools (Maven/Gradle)
• Experience working in agile development environments

🚀 Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and database management
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)
• Understanding of event-driven architecture using JMS or Kafka
