Role – Service Delivery Manager


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Application Service Delivery Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of application services for our energy and utilities operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, reliable, and secure application services that align with organizational objectives and industry standards. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of the energy and utilities sector.


Key Responsibilities

  • Application Management:
  • Oversee the lifecycle management of applications, including deployment, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Manage critical energy-related applications like Energy Management Systems (EMS), SCADA systems, and smart grid technologies.
  • Service Delivery Oversight:
  • Ensure the seamless delivery of application services to meet business and operational needs.
  • Monitor and improve application performance using tools like AppDynamics or Dynatrace.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external vendors related to application services.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of applications with systems like GIS and utility billing systems.
  • IT Service Management (ITSM):
  • Implement ITIL-based best practices for incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Utilize ITSM tools like ServiceNow to manage service requests and issues effectively.
  • Cloud and Security Management:
  • Leverage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) for scalable and resilient application services.
  • Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations like NERC CIP, ISO 50001, or GDPR.
  • Project Management:
  • Manage application delivery projects using Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Oversee resource allocation, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project completion.
  • Innovation and Optimization:
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance application performance and service delivery.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies in the energy and utilities sector and assess their impact.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in application delivery and management, preferably within the energy and utilities sector.
  • Strong knowledge of SCADA systems, Energy Management Systems (EMS), and utility billing software.
  • Expertise in ITIL processes and ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cybersecurity protocols.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and work collaboratively with stakeholders.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Distribution Energy Business, renewable energy platforms and IoT in the utilities sector.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, and cloud platform-specific credentials (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
