The Client:
We're currently working with a people-focused social enterprise who are looking to hire an experienced Cyber Security professional on a permanent full-time engagement. The client operates a hybrid work model with three days per week on-site in their Western suburbs based office. Salary on offer is up to $125,000 plus 11.5% super with NFP salary packaging available.

The Role:
As their Cyber Security Specialist, you will be tasked with monitoring the network for suspicious activity and investigating any incidents that occur. As well as collaborating on security policies and enhancing their security posture through leading and contributing to projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development of the cyber security strategy providing guidance and recommendations on trends and industry analysis.
  • Conduct daily monitoring of system variabilities and participate in the coordination patching and management of vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in delivery of software upgrades and security updates as part of security practice.
  • Adhere and participate in review of Essential 8, ISO27001 and other recommended security baselines as directed.
  • Use Microsoft 365 related security tools (e.g., Entra ATP, Entra, Identity Management, M365 Compliance, Security & Endpoint Security) to manage cyber security practices and security baselines.
  • Utilise tools to manage assets and network visibility to assess and regularly evaluate potential misconfiguration or unidentified threat surfaces.
  • Utilize Vulnerability Management tools to evaluate on premise and cloud infrastructure and assist with patch management.
  • Provide support in conducting audit to address organisational risk and cyber security
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of work instruction, training guides and documentation utilising Confluence.

    Required Skills & Specialisms:
  • Demonstrated extensive cyber security experience in medium to large organisations
  • The ability to identify, assess and mitigation cyber security related risks.
  • Strong analytical thinking using logic and reasoning to evaluate strengths and weaknesses of IT systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of network architectures, operating systems, and security practices.
  • Experience documenting and maintaining policies and procedures
  • Experience with Cyber Security Tools, EDR/XDR, SIEM, WAF
  • Experience with Patching & Vulnerability Management and associated tools
  • Experience with ASD Essential 8, NIST, ISO27001 and similar frameworks
