Data Analyst (m/f/d)


The position:

Our client is an industrial multinational player leader in its industry. To support the set-up of their global procurement Center of Excellence in Switzerland, we are supporting them in the search for an experienced Data Analyst based in Root, Lucerne.

The person will facilitate the procurement team with a centralized spend analytics database that supports data-driven decision making, identification of savings opportunities and savings tracking.


Main responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain the company’s global procurement database:

-Bring together spend data from multiple ERPs into one unified platform for analytics

-Normalize, cleanse, and classify data to support global analytics

-Ongoing spend data refresh from existing and new ERPs

  • Create and update category dashboards
  • Work with category leads to define useful analytics.
  • Design visualizations to present data in a clear and concise manner for relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop should cost modeling and support Category Leads in using model.
  • Develop total cost of ownership calculations and support Category Leads in using calculator
  • Track and report CoE value generation.
  • Support Business Partners in interfacing with Finance on reporting and budgeting.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience in a similar role demonstrating strong analytics, data normalization and cleansing, ERP understanding, data visualization, and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to comfortably work with large datasets.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with and manage internal stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in leveraging data analytics for strategic decision-making.
  • Strong financial reporting background with expertise in collaborating with finance teams.
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics tools and reporting frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SQL, and/or Python.
  • Fluent spoken and written English, any other language is a plus.
