Associate Director - Digital

As we expand our Digital consulting practice, we are looking for a talented and experienced Associate Director to join our team in Amsterdam.

About The Role

As the Associate Director - Digital, you will play a critical role in driving the delivery of digital transformation initiatives for our clients within the financial sector, while helping flourish our Digital consulting practice. This role combines defining a digital strategy by developing innovative tailored solutions and by leading delivery teams in building applications, while focusing on the growth and development of the practice and its members. This position requires deep understanding of digital technologies in banking, strong leadership skills, a hands-on commercial mindset, and delivering exceptional results to our clients in the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership of the Digital Practice:
• Playing a key role in the advancement of the Digital consulting practice, lead the development and execution of digital transformation strategies, and setting strategic goals that enhance our offerings in the financial services industry.
• Collaborate with the digital team to define and execute the digital vision and roadmap and ensure alignment with organizational goals together with senior leadership.
• Mentor and guide a team of digital consultants, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
• Client Engagement & Project Delivery:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their digital challenges and opportunities, providing expert consultancy and tailored solutions on digital transformation, customer experience, and technology solutions.
• Oversee the execution of digital projects, ensuring successful delivery of solutions that meet client expectations.
• Growth and Development of the Practice:
• Identify opportunities for new business development and expand our client base within the financial services sector.
• Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to promote the Digital practice, including participation in industry events and thought leadership initiatives.
• Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Lead recruitment efforts to build a high-performing digital consulting team, while sustaining the current team.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members while maintaining positive team energy.
• Collaborate with technology partners and vendors to explore new tools, platforms and trainings that enhance and grow team members skills.
• Digital Strategy & Innovation:
• Identify opportunities and develop and implement innovative digital strategies that align with client objectives and industry best practices.
• Provide clients with strategic guidance on leveraging emerging technologies to enhance their digital capabilities.
• Develop and implement best practices for digital project delivery, ensuring consistency and quality across engagements.
• Thought Leadership:
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital transformation consultancy, leveraging this knowledge to enhance our consulting offerings.
• Contribute to the development of white papers, case studies, and training materials to position Synechron as a thought leader in digital transformation within the financial services sector.

What You Bring

• 7+ years of experience in digital consulting, with a strong focus on the financial services industry.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven track record of managing digital transformation projects within the financial services industry, and leading teams to deliver high-impact results.
• Strong understanding of digital strategy, customer experience, analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions and technological implementation of best practices.
• Excellent business acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities and develop client relationships.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong dominion of English language at business level, and Dutch language being a big plus.
