Information Technology Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Specialist to oversee and secure the IT environment across a group of industrial companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing network infrastructure, optimizing enterprise systems, and implementing cybersecurity strategies to ensure data protection and operational continuity. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong problem-solving skills and up-to-date technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee servers, network infrastructure, wireless access points, and endpoint devices across multiple entities.
• Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies and protocols to prevent cyber threats, fraud, and unauthorized access.
• Monitor and manage IT systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network, hardware, and software issues.
• Manage firewalls, antivirus systems, backup procedures, disaster recovery plans, and vulnerability assessments.
• Ensure compliance with international IT security standards and best practices.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for IT projects, upgrades, and system implementations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and IT security audits.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity.
• Must be currently based in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of networking, including routing, switching, and firewall configuration.
• Certifications in:
• Networking & Security: CCNA, CCNP, CISSP (an advantage).
• Cybersecurity & Compliance: CISM, CISA, CEH, or ISO 27001 (an advantage).
• Experience working with a group of companies or multi-site operations is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
