An exciting opportunity to join a major global commodities trading firm undergoing its most significant technology transformation to date. The focus of this role is to support a global program of work across Trading and Risk Management, enabling the effective execution of initiatives through best-in-class agile practices.

You will play a key role within the newly established PMO, providing structure and momentum to global project teams who are responsible for delivering critical change initiatives spanning technology, operations, and front-to-back trade lifecycle systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Scrum Master for distributed teams, ensuring effective agile ceremonies and sprint delivery
  • Drive clarity across complex workstreams and maintain focus in team meetings (e.g. ensuring stand-ups don’t become side-discussions)
  • Own and manage Jira boards and related agile artifacts (e.g., velocity tracking, retrospectives, sprint planning)
  • Help standardize agile delivery across cross-functional teams and act as a change agent for agile ways of working
  • Support Program Managers, Business Analysts and Technical Teams to maintain momentum and meet key deliverables
  • Provide structure and governance across projects involving vendors, developers, support teams, and the business
  • Work closely with global colleagues based in UK, South Africa, and North America

Key Projects:

  • Trading and Risk Management initiatives – front-to-back trade lifecycle
  • Integration and onboarding of new systems supporting the energy trading desk
  • Vendor and system change projects (including ETRM platforms and associated tools)

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • Hands-on Jira experience essential, including reporting and board configuration
  • Ability to run high-impact, focused stand-ups and push back on scope creep or misalignment
  • Confident working in a fast-paced, global environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Preferred but not essential:

  • Background in trading, commodities, or capital markets (e.g., worked on Murex/ETRM-related projects)
  • Technical understanding or previous experience in engineering-led teams
  • Experience working with offshore and cross-functional teams

Working Hours:

  • Must be able to start early to overlap with the UK team (7 am ET typical)
  • Flexibility to finish earlier in the day to balance the schedule

Ideal candidate fit:

  • Highly motivated and confident communicator with a proactive mindset
  • Comfortable holding others accountable and keeping meetings focused and productive
  • A structured thinker with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to navigate ambiguity with ease
