Layer Finance aims to digitally disrupt the private markets sector using Artificial

Intelligence. We are building a platform that streamlines deal sourcing and closing for

professional market participants. Our unique proposition integrates three pillars: Deal

Brokerage, SaaS solutions, and Outsourcing Services, all aimed at connecting investors

with high-quality off-market opportunities. Our Artificial Intelligence solutions boost

process efficiency and enable deal teams and professional investors to make better

decisions.

We are currently focusing on real estate investments, including both the financing of

development projects with debt or equity solutions, and the placement of existing assets

in the secondary market. Additional asset classes, such as company transactions, like

strategic financing or company exits, will be added to our platform in the near future. Our

unfair advantage is that we have an in-house team of senior business experts with many

years of experience in private markets deal sourcing and closing.

Tasks

Responsibilities

• Solve various data extraction, summarization and content generation problems
• Drive the adoption of state-of-the-art machine learning methods and models
• Contribute to other software development work if necessary
  
  
  

Requirements

Important to have

• Experience with applying advanced machine learning algorithms and tools
• Knowledge of fine-tuning and performance evaluation of large language models
• Disposition for optimal decision-making, critical thinking and self-awareness
• Kind, positive and collaborative attitude focused on mutual success
• Ability to work remotely but come to the office in Vienna if needed
• Official permanent or temporary residence in Austria

• Experience with natural language processing and information retrieval
• Strong familiarity with recent advances in the machine learning space
• Affinity towards using Python in a well-engineered type-safe fashion
• General competence in broader software engineering topics
