Who We Are

We are remote first software as a service (SaaS) company, bringing true digital transformation to the global shipping industry. We enhance the way shipping professionals work by creating technology for the maritime industry and bringing it to market.

With over 85% of the world’s trade transported by sea, we have a huge opportunity to transform existing manual, offline and disparate processes into a tech-enabled and data-rich experience enabling better decision-making and fewer costly and time-consuming mistakes.

Our premier platform, Sea, is the world’s first digital shipping platform that provides cloud-based applications focused on the pre-fixture and at-fixture space. These connect to create efficiencies and digitise workflows.

The Role

As a Product Manager, Core Experience, you will be fully responsible for managing the foundational SaaS functionality that powers the Sea intelligent marketplace for fixing freight. This includes user management, authentication, legal entity mapping, notifications, navigation, login flows, and the application wrapper—critical components that ensure a seamless, secure, and efficient user experience across our platform.

Your role is pivotal in ensuring that these core services are scalable, intuitive, and enable both internal teams and external users to perform their workflows with minimal friction. While these areas may not always be customer-facing, they are essential to the platform's usability, security, and efficiency.

You will collaborate closely with a product designer and tech lead, driving the roadmap and execution of new development initiatives within the Core Experience team. Additionally, you’ll work alongside other Product Managers responsible for customer-facing products to ensure a consistent and seamless experience across the entire Sea platform.

Understanding our users—both customers and internal teams—is key to this role. You’ll be responsible for gathering insights, prioritizing enhancements, and making informed product decisions that align with business goals while minimizing friction in core workflows. We take a product-led approach to growth, focusing on optimizing time-to-value for every development initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the roadmap for Core Experience, ensuring our platform’s foundational components are robust, scalable, and intuitive.
  • Identify opportunities and pain points within user management, authentication, notifications, navigation, login flows, and other core functionalities, delivering solutions that improve platform usability.
  • Deeply understand how users interact with the platform, synthesizing feedback from various sources to optimize workflows and remove friction.
  • Ensure that security, compliance, and user privacy best practices are embedded into authentication and user management workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and other product teams to develop and iterate on platform-wide improvements.
  • Work with internal teams (customer support, sales, marketing) to ensure smooth rollout of updates and provide guidance on new functionality.
  • Define and track success metrics for Core Experience features, continuously monitoring adoption and usability.
  • Be a thought leader in improving platform-wide user experience, ensuring consistency in design patterns, navigation, and interaction models.
  • Stay informed on best practices in SaaS user management, authentication, security, and system-wide notifications to ensure our platform remains competitive.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in product management for SaaS platforms, particularly in core functionality such as authentication, user access management, notifications, or navigation.
  • Strong background in platform-level product management, with an ability to balance security, usability, and scalability.
  • Experience working in agile software development environments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Comfort with complex problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong prioritization skills, balancing short-term needs with long-term platform evolution.
  • Ability to synthesize user insights, technical constraints, and business goals into actionable product decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills—capable of articulating complex platform topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with product analytics tools and using data to measure success and drive improvements.
  • Bonus: Experience with identity management, authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML, SSO), or system-wide notifications is highly desirable.
