Senior Solutions Designer

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Solutions Designer to join our growing Tech growing team.

The Role

In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for translating complex business requirements into robust and scalable technical solutions. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, including product managers, engineers, and clients, to design and implement innovative solutions that drive business success.

Your day to day

• Lead the design and architecture of complex solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements and translate them into detailed solution designs.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and technical documentation.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies and platforms to support the development of innovative solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior designers and engineers.
• Conduct feasibility studies and proof-of-concepts to validate design concepts.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our design processes and methodologies.

About You

• Experience working in financial services in Australia in a similar role, including understanding of relevant regulatory & compliance obligations
• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar
• Experience in designing & implementing cloud-based technology solutions, e.g. Azure Web Apps, AWS/GCP
• Demonstrated experience gathering & interpreting business requirements and designing individual and integrated solutions to achieve business benefits
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to influence peers, team members & senior leaders
