SOC Manager

I am hiring a SOC Manager on behalf of a dynamic cybersecurity firm specializing in advanced threat detection, incident response, and security operations. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies, the company safeguards critical infrastructures and digital assets for clients across diverse industries. Their Security Operations Center (SOC) team is at the forefront of mitigating cyber risks, ensuring 24/7 protection. The company values innovation, collaboration, and professional growth, providing an engaging environment for cybersecurity professionals to address evolving security challenges.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Development and implementation of cyber security solutions

• Coordination of incident response process

• Overseeing the operation and enhancement of the SOC

• Serving as the single point of contact for users and service delivery

• Leading and managing the SOC team, including process evaluation and improvement

• Communication with key stake holders and presentation of technical topics at client meetings

This role is onsite in Vienna, Austria

Essential:

• Several years of professional experience in defensive security

• Project management and/or technical leadership experience

• Extensive experience with SIEM tools and network/firewall technology

• Strong understanding of cyber threats and vulnerabilities

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills – a good team player

• Minimum C1 German and fluent English

Desirable:

• Relevant degree e.g. Computer Science or Cyber Security

• Previous experience as a SOC Manager

• Relevant certifications from entities such as GIAC and SANS.
