Division

As an IT Newbie, you will join the Group Business Solutions (GBS) division, where you will undergo an intensive 3-month training program. Throughout this journey, you will be closely guided by a mentor and supported by a buddy - someone with hands-on experience in a similar role ensuring a smooth transition into your new career.

The GBS division ensures the competitiveness of Euroclear by delivering reliable and sustainable IT solutions for the financial securities markets. Our technical teams deliver new IT solutions and improve existing applications for both our internal and external clients. We deploy changes into the production environment in a controlled and structured way that doesn't compromise production stability, and we ensure applicative production support.

As Software Developer you will be part of a team that develops new applications to support our business needs and improving existing applications. The main tasks are:

• Being provided with a design document, perform the related coding and testing activities in .NET following Euroclear guidelines
• Clearly documenting your program specifications and testing cases/results to discuss it with your designer in line with Euroclear processes
• Ensure all launch activities are foreseen under the supervision of a designer,
• Provide support to our testing and operational teams in regard to the code under your responsibility
• Being able to debug the application and perform defect management activities when applicable
• Start producing design documentation for small and low complexity changes

While having the opportunity to work in a multi-cultural environment as from day one, we expect that on the medium term, you coach, share best practices and knowledge with the offshore teams responsible for coding and located in India. This could include outstanding trips to India to meet with peers.

You have:

• a Mathematics, IT or Science-related degree (Bachelor, Master, PhD)
• .NET development platform and execution environments (C#, VB.NET, .NET Framework, ASP.NET Web
• Forms, Javascript, Jquery, Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, ...)
• SQL Server Database
• Strong analytical skills
• Curiosity about Finance, capital markets
• Ability to quickly adapt to an international and diverse company
• Self-learning ability (you're ready to dive into new technologies and extend your own expertise
