About The Position

As Payments Data Analyst, you will work closely with our Payments Service Provider (PSP), portfolio companies, Everfield’s Payments Leads, Payments Head of Ops, Payment Head of Commercial and Payments CTO to improve our payments business. You will also work closely with two data engineers to create sustainable data pipelines and turn data into actionable insights.

In this role you will become the fifth member of the Business Intelligence (BI) team. We, the BI team, create value for various stakeholders (CEO, Finance, COO, Payments, and Everfield’s portfolio companies), by creating insights, delivering analysis, automating reporting processes and improving data quality.

We build pipelines with Synapse to ingest the data into our data platform, uses Databricks for data transformation and Power BI for data visualization. For analytics the team also uses SQL.

The scope of the team is expected to scale with the company’s growth and maturity level. Everfield will scale from 28 portfolio companies currently, to approximately 90 companies in the next 4 years.

What You Will Do

• Requirements gathering
• Align with key stakeholders to understand reporting requirements
• Create feature development and communication plans
• Identify new data variables to be captured on a portfolio level
• Data Analysis
• Exploratory Data Analysis to test feasibility of requests and propose additional features
• Suggests alternatives if requirements cannot be met
• Data visualization
• Design proof of concept solutions fit for user acceptance testing
• Maintain and update Power BI reports
• Data Ingestion, Verification and Validation
• Extract raw data from upstream sources
• Improving data quality and efficiency
• Support portfolio companies with quality assurance of their Payments data
• Analyse and organize raw data
• Data modeling and Transformation
• Build data systems and pipelines based on a medallion architecture
• Compliance & Security
• Create and maintain data glossary
  

What We Are Looking For

• A self-starting personality, that fits into an environment that is characterised by entrepreneurship and has a customer centric approach.
• At least 5 years of experience within an international or complex environment and the right drive and ambition to make the difference.
• Experienced with payments business and business partnership with Payment Service Providers (PSP).
• Experience with Synapse or Azure Data Factory and Databricks is a plus.
• Knowledge and hands on experience with Python (PySpark, Pandas).
• Experience with data modeling.
• Experience with working in a DevOps team, following a structured, iterative agile development process.
• Business fluent in English.
