The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:
You will be part of the Internal Audit (IA) team within the Finance function, working on a variety of projects each year that cover operational, financial, technology, and regulatory compliance processes. The IA team uses data science to provide greater value to stakeholders by designing statistical models for outlier detection and applying advanced analytics to identify hidden trends and patterns. This collaborative team partners with various departments across the company to design and execute impactful data science and analytics projects.

With a strong background in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization, you have a proven track record of applying these skills to real-world business challenges. You are a logical thinker, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to simplify complex data science concepts for diverse stakeholders.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Execute Internal Audit (IA) data science and analytics projects, including risk assessment, audit execution, and special projects.
- Partner with IA team members to identify questions and issues for data analytics and experiments across various projects.
- Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders and partners to execute projects from design to delivery.
- Experiment and implement proofs of concepts across multiple processes and datasets.
- Design and implement scripts that cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources, applying statistical analytics and machine learning where appropriate.
- Create visualizations, including dashboards, to display data-backed insights and predictive results.
- Engage with team members to promote, adhere to, and contribute to continually improving the team’s data science standards and processes.
- Communicate and explain your work and results to stakeholders.
- Continually learn and develop applicable technical and professional skills.
- Mentor junior data scientists, analysts, and audit staff.
- Develop professional relationships within the team and across the organization.
- Enhance the effectiveness of the Internal Audit department through advanced data science and analytics.
- Identify hidden trends and patterns that can lead to process improvements and risk mitigation opportunities.
- Support informed decision-making by providing valuable insights from complex datasets.
- Drive innovation by experimenting with and implementing new data science techniques and technologies.
- Improve the efficiency and accuracy of audit processes through data-driven approaches.
- Mentor and develop the next generation of data scientists and analysts.
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field; Advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in applying statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and natural-language processing to business problems.
- Experience building predictive models using R or Python.
- Experience manipulating large datasets using R, Python, or SQL.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, and ggplot.
- Experience developing locally with LLMs/AI agents is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex data science concepts and results for diverse audiences.
- Experience using git (GitLab/GitHub) or other software development version control systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with SAP and Salesforce is a plus.
- Experience using data science and analytics for auditing purposes is a plus.
