Our mission is to transform the way sports brands manage, leverage and license their media content. Founded in 2021, ScorePlay is the first AI-powered end-to-end media workspace designed for sports. We've co-constructed a software that helps sports organizations index, manage, distribute, and monetize their videos, live broadcasts and photos on a single platform, enabling their visual storytelling and expanding their online reach and brand. We use AI and data to tag content automatically, which can automate and streamline classification, distribution and production, as well as streamlining video broadcast workflows to better connect ecosystems.

ScorePlay is currently recruiting for a UX/UI designer to work in our Product team. You will be responsible for creating intuitive and visually stunning digital products that resonate with our users. This role will work cross functionally across the business.

At ScorePlay you will be joining a growing company, take ownership and autonomy of your work, and contribute to building a product that changes the sports media landscape. We will provide you with a range of tools here at ScorePlay such as Linear, Notion, Claap and Slack to help you with your work.

The position

ScorePlay is currently recruiting for a UX/UI Designer, you will be reporting into the CTO and will work closely with product , engineering, and other stakeholders to craft elegant interfaces and user journeys that not only solve complex problems but also delight and engage our audience. This role goes beyond traditional design work, combining elements of user research, product design, and interaction design to create comprehensive user experiences.

Responsibilities

• User Research & Empathy: Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to deeply understand user needs, behaviors, and motivations. Translate findings into actionable insights that inform design decisions.
• User Interface & Interaction Design: Design polished, high-fidelity mockups and prototypes that capture the essence of our brand. Create intuitive and responsive layouts for web and mobile applications, ensuring a consistent and accessible experience.
• Product Design: Collaborate closely with the product team to develop user flows, wireframes, and design concepts that align with business goals and user needs. Contribute to the product vision and strategy by advocating for design thinking at every stage of development.
• User Journey Mapping: Analyze and design logical workflows and user journeys to optimize the product experience. Identify pain points and recommend solutions to enhance usability and satisfaction.
• Design Systems & Guidelines: Maintain and evolve ScorePlay’s designs, ensuring consistency and scalability across all touchpoints. Create and manage UI components, style guides, and documentation for cross-functional alignment.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business operations, tech, and customer success, to understand project requirements, manage feedback, and iterate on designs.
• Visual & Motion Design: Leverage your visual storytelling skills to bring designs to life through the use of typography, iconography, color, and motion. Create visually engaging animations and interactions that elevate the user experience.

Soft skills:

• Ownership and accountability: We really want this person to lead on the following: Recommendation, research, user tests, etc.
• Team work: This is such a crucial role for us, so this person will need to have great interactions with product owner(s), stakeholders, developers.
• Attention to detail: Working at a fast pace with the development team and really getting to the crux of user journeys, this person will really need to have an eye for detail.
• Empiric mind: The ability to connect the dots with everything being actionable, connected to reality and usage.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional experience as a UX/UI Designer, Product Designer, or a similar role in a startup environment.
• Demonstrable experience in the media industry, preferably within sports or related fields.
• Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design work, including research findings, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools like InVision or Marvel.
• Proven track record of translating complex problems into simple and intuitive designs.
• Experience working with design systems and contributing to their development.
• Understanding of front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions to a variety of stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in motion design and creating interactive prototypes.
• Passion for sports and an understanding of common media distribution challenges.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working within a small but highly skilled development team.

This position is fully remote and we welcome candidates located in Europe.
