Data Architect (Data&AI Team)

What You’ll Have To Do

Help develop data strategies;
Help design, build and manage scalable data pipelines;
Lead planning sessions with the internal stakeholder teams from Business Intelligence;
Come up with architectural principles and concepts for our data ecosystem and enforces those standards;
Come up with coding standards and makes sure those standards are enforced;
Develop together with the Architecture team workflow/tech stack proof of concepts and presents the findings to the data department. Also makes sure that the best tech stack option is actually implemented in the department;
Develop best practices for naming, governing, managing and searching data;
Define development standards and layering for our structured and unstructured data sets;
Define a set of processes to handle all operations (ETL) within out data ecosystem;
Create data modelling schemas and structures;
You are liaison between tech product teams, business teams and the data teams and ecosystem and make sure that the data ecosystem keeps pace with the current needs;
Ensure data quality is respected, monitored and support is available;
You can balance all of the above against accepted performance and security.

What Makes You a Good Fit

Have +4 years of experience in architectural role;
Have complex data modelling experience;
Have communication and presentation skills;
Have persuasion skills and the ability to gain traction for ideas inside a large organization;
Have knowledge of data quality, data management, data visualization, and predictive analytics concepts;
Have previous Team Lead or Project Lead experience with a successful track record;
Have ability to work without supervision and be a driving force inside the organization;
Have high level understanding of Big Data platforms and applications;
Have previous experience with a mix of the following concepts, technologies or ecosystems:

Spark;
Python;
Git;
DBT;
Google Cloud/Amazon Cloud, in full cloud or hybrid setups;
SQL;
Apache airflow;
Kafka;
Data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, QlikSense);
Applied Design Patterns (in code or data structures);
CI/CD.
