Automation Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Automation Engineer to join our Electrical Department, specializing in the oil and gas sector. In this role, you will be responsible for designing electrical and automation panels, overseeing testing, installation, site work, Etc. You will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical and automation panels, including preparation of drawings and technical documentation.
• Oversee panel construction and assembly in our in-house workshop.
• Manage the instrumentation and automation of oil & gas equipment and machinery, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
• Conduct on-site testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning, working closely with clients and project teams.
• Provide technical guidance and support to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and project specifications.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Certified Automation Engineer or Electrician, preferably with oil & gas experience.
• Vocational school diploma or engineering degree (or equivalent industry experience).
• Hands-on experience with industrial automation, control systems, and instrumentation in the oil and gas sector.
• Familiarity with offshore and onshore equipment, PLCs, SCADA systems, and safety protocols.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian and English.
