Job Description

Summer Trainee is a short-term paid internship, that allows you to kickstart your fabulous journey in the IT and Telecom world. As our Trainee you can get your first experience and learn from the best experts in this field. The internship usually lasts 3 months from July to September. Position: Optics/DWDM Network Engineer – Summer Trainee

Duration: 3 months

Location: Poland, Bydgoszcz

Date: 1.07.2025 – 30.09.2025

Education Recommendations: Telecommunications, Computer Science or related field

We are a Center of Expertise focused on DWDM technology. Join to our team of experts in optical transmission networks where you will be able to see the work during all phases of the optical network life cycle: planning, installation, start-up (commissioning/provisioning), management.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

As a part of our team, you will:

• execute manually standardized tests in an established environment
• identify any simplifications and shortcuts within test procedures
• supplement the procedures with steps that help developers understand all the steps and expected test results.
  
  

Key Skills And Experience

You should have:

• Active student status (for at least one year).
• Good English, both spoken and written.
• Ready to work full-time during the summer time in our office in Warsaw.
• Technology: DWDM, optical transmission.
• Soft skills: team player, good communicative skills, eagerness to learn.
  
  

It would be nice if you also had:

• Student status of telecommunications, electrical engineering, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of DWDM technology and optical networking principles.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and operating DWDM networks.
• Experience working with Nokia network equipment.
