Senior Database Engineer

Our client is the digital arm of a leading casino and resort enterprise. Known for its luxurious properties, the company's business model centres on developing large-scale, high-end integrated resorts featuring hotels, casinos, retail, entertainment, igaming and convention facilities

They require a Senior AWS Database Engineer to work at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, automation, and high-performance data solutions.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, build, and support highly available databases, NoSQL stores, caching, and messaging solutions in AWS
• Use Terraform, CDK, and CloudFormation to automate cloud deployments
• Operate PostgreSQL clusters on Amazon RDS/Aurora and deploy services to Kubernetes (EKS)
• Manage event streaming platforms like Kafka, Kinesis, and NATS
• Optimize AWS data security, performance, and resilience

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in AWS cloud (AWS RDS/Aurora preferred)
• Strong Kubernetes (EKS) and Terraform experience
• Mastery of SQL and proficiency in Python (GoLang is a plus!)
• Expertise in AWS data security best practices
• Familiarity with GitHub, DataDog, and AWS services
