🔐 OT Network Security Engineer – Stavanger | 2-Year Contract

We’re hiring experienced OT Cybersecurity Engineers to play a key role in the early stages of a major offshore brownfield project. Based in Stavanger, you’ll help ensure that a large-scale network infrastructure is designed and delivered in line with international standards, IEC62443, and project-specific cybersecurity specifications.

What you’ll be doing

• Define and design network infrastructure, ensuring alignment with client and cybersecurity specifications (IEC62443).
• Safeguard OT systems with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, access controls, and robust segmentation.
• Participate in FAT testing and verification of switches, routers, firewalls, and server configurations.
• Conduct risk assessments of supplier packages and systems, using IEC62443 as a baseline.
• Facilitate and lead Risk Vulnerability Analysis (RVA) workshops to uncover and mitigate security threats.
• Support suppliers in completing Self-Assessment Templates in accordance with client requirements.
• Liaise with other disciplines, contractors, vendors, and the client to ensure coordinated cybersecurity efforts.
• Contribute proactively in design discussions, offering cross-discipline insights where applicable.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in engineering and technical implementation of network infrastructure (incl. switches, firewalls, servers).
• At least 2 years of recent experience in network design and/or cybersecurity within oil & gas EPC projects or industrial control systems.
• Familiarity with communication protocols and industrial systems: Modbus, Profibus, OPC UA, IEC61850, TCP/IP, Ethernet.
• Solid knowledge of IEC62443 and NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF).
• Prior exposure to brownfield projects and NORSOK standards is highly valued.
• Strong communication skills in English (Norwegian is a bonus).
• Collaborative, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.
• Detail-oriented, systematic, and deadline-focused.
• Training: EX (basic course) and FSE (high/low voltage + first aid).
