Senior UI/Front-end Engineer

Salary: up to around £115,000

Our client is a cutting-edge technology company powering the next generation of AI infrastructure.

They are currently seeking a Senior UI Engineer to join their product engineering team. This individual will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining the web-based cloud console that enables users to interact with the platform. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of key user-facing features for the cloud console
• Work closely with product design and engineering teams to maintain and evolve design systems
• Build scalable, performant interfaces using TypeScript, React, and Next.js
• Develop and maintain a shared component library to ensure UI consistency
• Contribute to technical strategy and product planning from a front-end perspective
• Uphold high standards in code quality, testing, and performance
• Provide mentorship and support to junior team members

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience in front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and React/Next.js
• Experience integrating front-end applications with APIs, particularly OpenAPI 3.0+
• Strong understanding of modern UI/UX best practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS
• Knowledge of containerised environments such as Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience with Go or a willingness to work with backend services
• Background in setting up automated end-to-end testing pipelines
