Information about the position

As a new Web Engineer, you’ll join a team of web engineers in the Marketplace-Technologies domain. The purpose of this team is to support other developers in the company through guidance, tooling, performance optimizations, application architecture, and new technology research and adoption. You will participate in executing large-scale critical engineering projects and initiatives, moving us closer to achieving our company mission.

In this position, you’ll

• Drive, own, and/or contribute to large-scale engineering projects
• Dive into complex problems and research possible solutions making a huge impact on the whole community of Vinted’s Web Engineers
• Work on making the developer experience better
• Focus on monitoring and reducing frontend performance bottlenecks
• Make code quality improvements and eliminate inconsistencies
• Collaborate with other developers through GitHub pull requests and code reviews
• Work with the latest versions of Next.js, React, Jest, and other tools
  
  

About You

• Interested in engineering problems beyond regular product development
• Eager to work with other developers to understand their problems and help solve them
• Eager to learn and master new technologies and concepts
• You are knowledgeable of system architecture and can operate on a conceptual level (e.g. evaluate short-term vs. long-term solutions)
• You are strong in communicating in spoken and written English and can easily collaborate with colleagues from different cultures
• Participate in on-call rotation every 5-6 weeks.

The salary range for this position is € 3,558 - € 4,808 gross per month.
