Job Title: System Technician

Job Purpose
To provide comprehensive system support to end users in the effective use of IT infrastructure including servers and operating systems. The role requires proactive issue resolution and full compliance with the company’s software, hardware, and process standards.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshooting & Support
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 system administration support.
- Resolve IT system-related issues at WOQOD, its subsidiaries, and remote branches based on Helpdesk requests.
- Support system engineers in maintaining office systems, hardware, and IT equipment.
- Monitor server and application log files, identify and report issues for swift resolution.
- Assist in the installation and configuration of servers and network components at main and remote sites.
- Conduct initial diagnoses for reported system issues and deliver prompt, temporary, or permanent solutions.
- Coordinate with Systems Engineers to resolve major issues.
- Ensure smooth IT operations and consistent system uptime.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on servers, network devices, and IT hardware.
- Use appropriate testing methods to ensure all components are in operational condition.
- Report any systems requiring repair or replacement.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized institute.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in system administration operations in a similar role.
- Windows Server and Hardware Platform Certifications (Preferred)
- Strong hands-on experience with server technologies including:
- Operating Systems (Windows/Linux)
- Active Directory
- Email Servers
- Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Microsoft 365 Administration
- Basic understanding of:
- Network troubleshooting
- Private and public cloud infrastructure
- Centralized system and data backup solutions
- Up-to-date knowledge of system support tools, developments, and security patches.
- Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills.
- Polite and professional customer interaction skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Valid Qatari driving license.
- Willingness to work extra hours as per organizational demands.
