Infra Network Engineer (f/m/d)

For our European Headquarters in Frankfurt am Main area (Offenbach) we are looking for an IT professional as:

Infra Network Engineer (f/m/d)

As a Network Systems Engineer (f/m/d), you will become a member of the Digital Infra Department and support multiple clients in the Hyundai Motor Group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administering and maintaining network devices, such as Cisco Core switches, floor switches, wireless controllers, call managers across European subsidiaries

• Monitoring and analyzing network performance to ensure optimal data flow and security

• Implementing and maintaining security measures for LAN/WAN systems, following best practices to protect against threats and vulnerabilities

• Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving complex network issues efficiently. (Appling patches, updates and firmware upgrades, minimizing service disruptions)

• Maintaining comprehensive documentation for network configurations, diagrams and procedures to support troubleshooting and knowledge sharing

• Collaborating with clients to understand their requirements and provide network solutions. Participating in regular operational meetings with stakeholders to discuss system performance and improvements

• Managing service requests and incidents through the ITSM system, ensuring resolution and providing timely reports to customers

• Managing vendor relationships to ensure SLA compliance and service delivery. Collaborating with third-party service providers for MA and on-site service delivery

• Participating in global projects, infra refresh, migration and upgrades

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent

• 7+ years in enterprise network environments, focusing on data centers and customer networks

• Extensive experience with routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco/Palo Alto)

• Proficient in networking protocols: BGP, OSPF, L2/MPLS, L3/MPLS VPN, STP, HA, Radius, TACACS, EAP-PEAP, EAP-TLS

• Experience with SD-WAN, cloud network technologies, and VPN solutions

• Expertise in network monitoring tools (SolarWinds Orion, Nagios)

• In-depth knowledge of Network Access Control systems (Cisco ISE)

• Skilled in creating network diagrams and documentation

• CCNP certification, familiar with ISO 27001 and ITIL processes

• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Nice to have:

• Experience with F5, FortiGate, Aruba devices

• Knowledge of Cisco partnership programs

• Skilled in AIOps and automation tools

• Public Cloud, PRINCE2/ITIL Foundation certified
