What do we do?

VWFS Porto is a VWFS AG IT hub, and the first outside Germany. Here we will establish a long-term Business & IT company of 120+ FTE. Our primary goal is to service all European markets in implementing and maintaining contract management systems. Our focus is on: Core systems, satellite systems (such as document management systems, collection systems) but also extends to integrations, data, and large project organizations. For this we seek a hands-on DevOps.

Objectives:

Together with your Swedish colleagues, vendors & other IT departments within VW FS IT you will design, build and run applications for the FS Company in Sweden.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Design, implement and operate application environments.
• Design and implement continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD) and code maintenance tools.
• Design and implement automation for logging, monitoring and event management.
• Planning, operational control and optimization of the required budgets.
• Adherence to compliance requirements and evaluation (technical / financial) of requirements.
• Contribute to designing and building an architecture of applications in our hybrid cloud environment.
• Shape technical system documentation.
• Roll out new versions or technical changes of applications that meet the needs of the business or cross teams within the EU HUB.
• Identifying, suggesting and plan automation candidate processes.
• Design and implement automation tool set to support day-to-day operations.
• Migrate non-approved orchestration and automation tooling to VWFS approved stack.
• Collaborate with 2nd level support team, identifying improvement points, and later implementing them.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, and collaborate on the solution.

We believe that the right profile for this job should have / be:

• Complete university studies in business informatics, computer science or any equivalent.
• Have at least 3 years of working experience in Application development, management, and maintenance space.
• Knowledgeable in building and running web-based applications on Microsoft Stack, Microsoft Azure (Microsoft Azure Certification preferred) or similar platforms.
• Experienced in continuous integration, deployment and code .
• Experience with software development collaboration platforms (Azure DevOps preferred)
• Someone who works well with collaborative software development best practices, like source control (Git) and peer reviewing (Pull Requests and team inputs)
• Willingness to work in an Agile methodology (Jira is a plus)
• Works well with Development, technical Application Management, Infrastructure, and Business Units.
• Good knowledge of web-based system architectures.
• Interest in developing tools to support and even extend the currently available toolset.
• RabbitMQ management experience (or other Message Broker software) is a plus.
• Speaks English fluently.
• Strong communication, collaboration skills.
